Windy City LAN is a (BYOC) Bring Your Own Computer event. We will have power and network connections ready for you to plug into. You will have a 3ft wide space for your equipment. Please limit it to one (1) monitor. You will be given enough power for (1) monitor and (1) computer power cable.
Windy City LAN started off as a group of friends that would have LAN Parties at each other's house regularly. We still have our smaller LANs, but also have expanded into opening up to everyone to join.
Our mission is to bring gamers together in a fun, friendly, social environment. Drawing gamers from Chicago and around the country. Making the LAN gaming experience to be something people have fun attending and look forward to. We are here to bring the LAN Gaming experience back to the Chicago area, and we are striving to be one of the biggest LAN Party events in the Midwest!

RULES:
-Must be 16 or older to attend event
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent sign and agree to the disclaimer and waiver. Attendees under the age of 16 may attend event but must have a parent or legal guardian at the event at all times.
-No Spectators.
-No Disruptive Behavior
Violent or severely annoying behavior that is offensive and/or disrupts the experience of other attendees will not be tolerated.
-VIRUSES
LANs are a great place for viruses to spread. Especially on open or unsecured shares. We are not responsible for your failure to protect your computer. We can only guarantee our official servers and file servers are virus free.
-ILLEGAL SOFTWARE
We do not support or condone the use and trading of pirated software or media. We cannot police the network, each person is responsible for observing copyright laws.
-NO SMOKING
There is No Smoking or Vaping inside the venue. If you must smoke or vape, you are required to exit the building.
-NO LASER POINTERS
If you have a laser pointer leave it at home. You will be ejected if you use the laser pointer inside the venue.
-NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL
Alcohol is not allowed in the event hall. The venue does have a restaurant and bar. They will be checking IDs. Alcohol is not to leave the bar area.. Illegal drugs are not permitted on premises, if you are found with drugs you will be ejected from the event and turned over to the local authorities.
WHAT DO BRING (and not to bring)
-ONE COMPUTER (additional equipment requires additional seat purchase)
-ONE FLAT PANEL MONITOR up to 32" (NO CRTs)
-POWER CORDS (for COMPUTER and MONITOR)
-HEADPHONES (no speakers of any kind)
-NETWORK CABLE (at least 30 feet - If you forget we will gladly sell you one)
-POWER STRIP (if you forget, we will gladly sell you one)
-GAME SERVER (to the server row only)
-GOOD ATTITUDE, leave your bad Attitude at home!
-SLEEPING BAG, PILLOW, AIR MATTRESS?
