What is WINLAN?
We are back! WINLAN XI is the next installment of the popular video gaming and board gaming LAN party event held twice a year in Eau Claire, WI. We expect that we will have around 150 attendees throughout the 3 day event.WINLAN XI starts Friday, October 22nd at 5:00 PM and runs straight through to Sunday, the 24th at 5:00 PM.

COVID Details:
Based upon your feedback, we decided it was time to reboot the WINLAN Party. We had over 130 people complete our survey. Everyone provided great information and insight into everyone's thoughts about the LAN Party and COVID. WINLAN will be taking the following precautions. > If you don't feel well. Stay home. (Free refunds.)
> The PC Gaming Room #2 is setup for those who wish to have improved social distancing. Larger more spread out area with bigger tables to increase distance between people.
> If you are not vaccinated, please wear a mask.
> VIP Meal will be served by WINLAN Staff to reduce cross contamination.
> The VIP Snacks will have an increased allotment of individually wrapped and packaged items to reduce cross contamination.
> Hand sanitizer stations will be setup throughout the event.
> Due to ever-changing COVID conditions and guidelines, we reserve the right to reschedule the event to a future date. Free refunds will be issued to those who request it.

Optionally upgrade your ticket for only $20 to "VIP Status". It includes access to the practically-unlimited soda and snack bar. Plus you get access to the famous WINLAN Family Dinner on Saturday night.

Event Details
How many gamers are coming?
We expect around 150 gamers at WINLAN X. The event has grown steadily since the first WINLAN over four years ago, and it’s always a great time! We had over 150 attendees at our last LAN.
How fast is the internet at the event?
We have an ultra-high-speed 10 Gbps (that's GIGAbits per second!) dedicated internet connection. This is roughly a bazillion times faster than your home's internet connection. Let's just say lag and slow download speeds won't be a problem! Brought to you by WIN Technology. :-)
Will there be gaming consoles?
While most people game on the PC, we do have a big console presence at WIN LAN. You are welcome to bring a console in addition to (or in replacement of) a PC. Just bring a TV/Monitor to connect to it, and your set. We will have 2 HD TVs available to connect to in the "Console Gaming Area". First come first serve.
Is there an age requirement to attend the event?
Yes there is. If you are under 16 years old you must be accompanied by an adult at all times and have your legal guardian fill out the waiver prior to attending.
Are you 16 & 17 years old? You can attend alone, but must still bring a completed waiver signed by your parent or legal guardian.
Where do I park my car?
There is ample parking at the Banbury Building (where WINLAN is held) for all attendees. The event is right next to the parking lot, upstairs on second floor. Take the elevator.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are transferable to the next LAN, but are not refundable. All sales final. If you got a ticket and you can't make the event - PLEASE let us know if you're not coming by emailing admin@winlanparty.com so that we can free up your seat.
Can I bring alcohol/tobacco/illegal drugs?
No. The use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs is not allowed and will result in immediate expulsion from the event.

Explain To Me The Tickets and Seats?
The green squares on the map are clickable that provides access to the PC/Console Game Room. (It also gives you free access to the Board Game Room.)
The "Board Game Room: Access Pass" ticket provides access ONLY to the board game room.
If you want to play in the PC/console games you MUST reserve your seat in the PC room.
- Selecting a seat in the PC Game Room: This includes table space, one power outlet, and an internet connection for your gaming rig. Free access to board game room and console area.
- Selecting the "Board Game Room: Access Pass" ticket: Gets you access to tables and chairs to play board/card games.
VIP Status Upgrade
The $20 ticket upgrade (VIP Status) provides "Sodas, Snacks, + Meal". This will get you access to a practically-unlimited soda and snack bar. Plus you get access to the famous WINLAN Family Dinner on Saturday night that is catered by a local restaurant.
Where can I sit?
You must select a seat when you purchase your ticket. You can see where other gamers (your friends) are sitting on the seating chart. Still can't decide? Pick a random spot, we are all friendly and won't bite. The board game room is free-for-all, first come first serve.
